Volunteers inquiries are always welcome!
Reading United Soccer Club is a volunteer run ogranization. The club is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers and relies on the support and participation of Reading residents for the successful implementation of its many programs.
There are many ways in which your assistance can benefit Reading's Youth Soccer Players. Listed below are some of the volunteer roles that keep our club and our programs running effectively:
- Referee
- Head Coach or Assistant Coach
- Age Group Coordinator
- Field Preparation
- Board Member
- Administration
If you are interested in assisting with any of our programs, there are multiple ways to let us know:
- Complete the volunteer checklist while registering your child for any RUSC Program
- Send a message to a specific RUSC Program Official indicated on the Contact Us page
- Contact any member of the Board of Directors
No Experience? No worries - While some functional roles are best suited for volunteers with particular skills, others just require a willingness to spend some time helping build a positive, fun environment for the kids. Aspiring coaches and referees need not be former professionals or collegiate All Stars. RUSC covers the costs for Referee Certification Courses. The Club also covers the costs for Coaching License Courses that provide the skills and confidence a parent will need to teach the game, whether a newcomer to the sport or a lifetime player and devotee.
All active volunteers must complete a CORI/KIDSAFE FORM which is required by State law for anyone working with kids. If you are new to coaching or have been informed that you need to complete a CORI/KIDSAFE FORM, please follow THIS LINK and notify the REGISTRAR when finished.
